VideoSphere CamPX Fixed IP Cameras from March Networks combine D1 resolution and real-time video delivery with outstanding bandwidth and storage efficiency. These cameras provide fully compressed H.264 digital video for unmatched image quality and colour reproduction in a variety of lighting conditions. A range of optional video analytics and other powerful features are supported.
All VideoSphere CamPX IP cameras use H.264 compression technology to deliver as much as 20 times the efficiency of comparable JPEG based IP cameras. The compression technology enables organizations to archive higher quality video for longer periods of time while significantly reducing bandwidth and storage costs. The cameras Power over Ethernet (PoE) design allows easy installation without the burden of additional cables for power. Advanced features improve operational efficiency and performance, such as the ability to update camera software remotely over the network.
To help organizations increase the value of the video and data being captured, the CamPX camera support embedded video analytics available as part of the VideoSphere Intelligent Video Management solution. These advanced applications range from Left Object Detection and Facial Detection to Queue Length Monitoring and Perimeter Protection. They allow organizations to improve customer service, marketing and security efforts and respond quickly to unusual or suspicious events. System health analytics include Camera Tampering Alarm and Camera Alignment Detection, which alert maintenance staff to moved, obscured, covered or spray-painted cameras.
VideoSphere CamPX IP cameras use a sophisticated, adaptive transmission algorithm to automatically select the video stream that best maximizes the network bandwidth available. For example, each video stream can be configured for frame rate, quality and resolution so that 2 Mbit; D1 could be used for real-time recording, 256 Kbit; CIF for an ADSL connection, and 10 Kbit; QCIF for wireless cellular networks. A manual override capability lets users select the parameters required for a specific application.
Combined with industry-standard PoE capabilities and advanced compression techniques, the VideoSphere family of fixed IP cameras is a valuable addition to any network environment. The cameras are supported by March Networks Video Management System (VMS) and hybrid NVR platforms working together with VideoSphere SiteManager desktop application software for comprehensive video monitoring, recording and playback.
Different camera models are available to meet varying application requirements. The CamPX standard camera offers TDN capability and Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) with programmable features that provide superior images for scenes with a mixture of different lighting conditions.
